Lagos is the biggest  commercial city in Nigeria with over 20 million people resident in it; there is a saying that says if you can make it in Lagos you can make it anywhere in Nigeria or the world at large, it is undeniable that this is a place 85% of the populace in Nigeria wants to live, for this reason the cost of living in Lagos and also doing business is on the rise, Today we will be looking at the most exclusive areas to live in in Lagos State.

1. Maryland (Mende): Maryland is divided into two section, Mende and Shonibare and it’s the preferred place for those looking for an exclusive and serene environment on the mainland. 5. Banana Island/Ikoyi: This is class, and the epitome of wealth in Lagos as it is the most affluent area, only the rich of the rich can afford to live in banana Island/Ikoyi. To get a property in this area you should be looking to spend at least N300,000,000 to buy, but if you are looking to rent a two bedroom flat then you should be looking to spend on the average N5,000,000, Banana island is home to the luxury apartment, estate, upscale office apartments, boutique and shops. The area becomes more popular due to the presence of the formal state governor of Lagos, so if you are looking to live in the most expensive place in Lagos for not, then this is the place to be.
